- To wash wool articles
Wool articles do not react well to normal washing cycles. The fabric shrinks quite a lot in contact with water so dry cleaning is preferable. If you need to remove a stain quickly, the best option is to use a mixture of water, salt and a little bit of ammonia. The articles must not be wrung out but should be compressed instead. Do not dry them under the sun. Place the wool articles in a well-ventilated area in the shade, preferably over a towel.
